A Gap in Time

posted Jul 22, 2018, 12:03 PM by Lee Forest

The past few years have been eventful to say the least. Many of you do keep in touch with me via other means such as Steam or Google. This site kinda sat dormant for a while since there wasn't much to post here. But there's a Hellhawks clan evolving in the game Crossout and I think this site could prove to be a useful central point for members to find our voice server n such. So if you are here because you are joining the clan and looking for Discord then you've come to the right place! Just click the Voice tab, then the link to the server. If all goes well we'll be off kicking some clan ass in no time. See you in game!

posted Mar 9, 2015, 4:26 PM by Lee Forest

We recently transferred the and domains from Godaddy to NameCheap. A switch that was very well worth it. The transfers are complete and the domains are working as they should. Sorry for the interruption. Carry on.

Sorry for the TeamSpeak interruption

I actually didn't realize the TeamSpeak server was down. When I did realize it I wasn't sure anyone still used it. But its back now and I've been playing War Thunder so I might be making some use of it again. Sorry for the inconvenience. Check in on if you have TeamSpeak :)

Rust Server Retired

posted Sep 12, 2014, 11:10 PM by Lee Forest

While we're not disbanding the Steam group or ending the Hellhawks services or Rust gameplay, we have decided to retire our Rust server. The main reasons being the instability of the host machine and issues with the legacy server software. We still have many Rust players, we just think its time to let the server go and look forward to better things in the future (hopefully something good with experimental branch finally maturing). The server has already expired. We'll still be on Steam, and we still have our Teamspeak. Still being Hellhawks in the world of Steam gaming. Just missing a Rust server. Hakuna Matada. We'll still find something fun to do. That's the wonderful world of Steam for you, right? So keep those skills sharp! We might still need them.

Just an FYI to those of you visiting from Battlefield Heroes, We DO NOT have a BFH server anymore. Ours was retired Months ago and we have not started any new ones.  Any current servers claiming to be hellhawks are not affiliated with We are not supporting or running any BFH servers at this time. If we ever do, you'll hear about it right here on Until then, be wary of any imposter's. is on the Mend, Rust is on the Rise

The server machine has been repaired. Services are slowly being revived. Most of you probably never really noticed that the machine was down, but we're glad to have it back as its a key part of our network as well as our development systems. We'll be working on it as neeeded. If anyone has any questions just contact Bruda.

We've also seen a big spike in the number of players checking out our Rust server. We've been having fun doing the usual. You know, getting chicken from bears and killing players. So if you are on Rust but haven't seen the Rust server you are missing out. Check out the 'Rust' section for more information about the server and how to join.

Most users may not notice any change in's services during this time. We've successfully moved the TeamSpeak 3 server to a new machine and rerouted Other services have been shutdown since we retired the BFH server. The installation script downloads have been moved to other online hosting (instructions have been updated). The server machine will be undergoing maintenance/repairs for an unspecified amount of time while we resolve the issues we are having. Sorry for any inconvenience any of this may cause. Thank you for your patronage.

Easy TeamSpeak Installation in Linux

posted May 18, 2014, 12:35 PM by Lee Forest   [ updated May 27, 2014, 9:36 AM ]

For those of you trying out Linux (such as Ubuntu, Linux Mint, SteamOS, Debian) I have created a simple install script for installing TeamSpeak 3 on your system. The script assumes you have sudo access available. Currently has been tested on Ubuntu 14.04 both 32 and 64bit.

To download the script, open a terminal and run:
Then run the script with:

You will be asked by TeamSpeak to accept their terms. Hit Y key to accept. Then you will be asked for your password in order to install the client system-wide.
Once installation is complete you can delete the script file and launch TeamSpeak through your applications menu.

If for some reason you wish to remove the installation we also provide a simple remove script that will remove the files that have been installed by our script.
(Note: this doesn't remove an installation performed by other means. Only that by our own install script.)

To download the script type:
Then run the script with:

You will be asked for your password. Then the installed files for TeamSpeak will be removed from the system directories.

Rust server world reset.

posted May 4, 2014, 11:32 AM by Lee Forest

The Rust server world has been reset. Everyone is starting fresh again. We've also removed mission and leveling plugins. The L.E.S. leveling plugin has been abandoned by its developer and started to experience some breakage in its components. Plus it's a good time to get back to basics before the big update comes in the near future. In the meantime we still have the usual goods like remover, kits, groups, compass, stronger durability, half crafting time, slower conditionloss, PVP, etc. Anyone looking to have some fun should come on in. You can add me on Steam and join me through your friends list or open the F1 console and type "net.connect 69,39.239.151:30015" (without the quotes). Or you can browse the modded server list for 'HELLHAWKS.COM'. Whichever way you go, we look forward to seeing you there :)

The End of Battlefield Heroes on

posted Apr 7, 2014, 3:10 PM by Lee Forest

Its been a debate quietly going on for a some time now. We have officially decided to retire the Battlefield Heroes server. I could endlessly elaborate on the many reasons why we felt this was the best course of action. But I think we'll keep it simple and say: Thanks for these few years of noobish whining, wallet draining junk, and over 2000 server crashes & counting. The day has come we bid the end of Battlefield Heroes on We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes. We hope you find your way to greener gaming pastures - just as we are doing in the world of Steam ( by playing games like Rust, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, DOTA2, and more. Good luck to you all. Please feel free to join us in Rust if you ever find yourself on Steam :)
